You know, you could just bring the envelopes for the thank you cards to the wedding and have each guest address it for you. That would save some time, don’t you think?

I guess it depends on how soon you want to get them out after the wedding! People need to realize that you are a busy working woman, and if you get a few out a night for a week (or weeks depending on how many gifts you get) You”l be done in no time!

I kind of think it’s cheating, but I might change my mind after we get married in December and we actually have to sit and write them all ourselves. Is “chicken scratch” penmanship also an option?

Future Mrs. Jones, guys love hints like this for the following reasons:

1) It’s explict. It gives us the power to get you something that you like, instead of having us just guess wildly, which could end badly.

2) By not telling us exactly where to find the gift, we retain our pride that we actually put in work to find you a gift. That you liked!

3) It maintains the element of surprise. There’s still an outside chance that we could veer off the path and choose something ourselves. Either way you will (hopefully!) be pleasantly surprised.

It was a mutual decision that I would take my husband’s name……though I loved it when my new social security card arrived with his last name and he called his MOM to tell her the news. “Mom, we have another official member of the family.”

Thanks for the fun reading!

I prefer for my Bride to take my last name. I’m not sure that it’s a deal breaker. But I also have less leverage than Mr. Jones has. Apparently the “City Hall” suggestion won’t work for me because my Bride says she’s the one who wanted to elope, while I wanted the ceremony with family and friends.
